It is reliable, you will not have any issues with it. **Q: Can you still focus as normal? ie spot to flood??** A: Regarding the beam focusing due to the high output of the LED bulb it has it’s own integral reflector to help with the heat dissipation which means the focusing ability of the flashlight is lost – it’s not possible to have a light bulb with such a high lumen output without the integral reflector and this is the compromise which had to be made to bring this product to market. We find customers are happy with the fixed beam offered by the LED bulb and find this suitable for most tasks.
