It is not the best as for as optics goes, but then the cost is what you are looking at it will do in a pinch. This is not something you want to use if you are looking for a high quality telescope.01/04/2020 updateHaving taken this on several cruises I find this lens to be very hard to use. First off you can not hold it steady with out being on a tripod or bracing yourself against so object. Plus there is no night vision feature on this item. So that goes to not seeing in darkness. In low light it does allow you to see what your naked eye could see, but then you don't need night vision if you are that close anyway. Wish II would have decided to send back before now. My year is up on satisfaction refund. So will find some child that wants a new toy that cost $50. If no for the price I would just pitch it into the trash.
