Test charge was in line with charging times for the OEM battery.The battery was very well packaged and pre-prepped for installation: the underside of the battery assembly already has the adhesive applied, the same type securing the original battery, which is sat upon a removable rigid plastic guard which the adhesive does not adhere to and is removed just before installing, great protection for the battery for shipping and keeping the adhesive clean and ready. The top-side of the battery assembly is covered in an adhesive plastic film which keeps the cells in position allowing for perfect alignment during installation and can easily be removed after installation is complete. ### ⭐ battery doesnt charge *by M***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2018* spent a couple of hours replacing the original battery in my macbook pro today only to find out the new one was dead on arrival - doesnt hold any charge - see photo. I left the power cable plugged in for a few hours and still the same msg on battery icon ("condition: replace now", "battery is not charging")For anyone else, in hindsight, I would test the replacement battery first before replacing the old. To do this, make sure the battery icon is enabled on your menu bar (this is a checkbox in System Preferences > Energy Saver). Power down the mac, then remove the back lid. With the old battery still glued to your mac, CAREFULLY disconnect the 9-pin connector on the battery chipset (that hooks the old battery to the macbook motherboard - observe your new battery to locate the connector port). GENTLY bend the 9-pin connector on the replacement battery to align with the connector port on your motherboard, then snap the pins into place. Now, CAREFULLY lift the lid on your mac (as the new battery will be loosely connected to your mac by the chipset PINs). Power on. Check that battery works as expected using the battery icon. If all is well, you can power down and then proceed with replacing the old battery. ### ⭐ Adhesive tape destroyed *by S***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 June 2018* Very unhappy with this product. Having read the great reviews I bought this item. However, the sticky tape used to stick the battery to the MacBook frame was literally stuck to the plastic used to package it.
