Nitrid Ultra Once is the only product that has undergone independent laboratory testing which found all lice and eggs to be killed within 2 minutes of contact with the product. Although effective within 2 minutes, we still recommend leaving the product in for as long as possible for the best results. This gives it chance to get to hard to reach areas of the scalp. Once treated, remove lice and eggs with comb provided. Please follow the instruction on the box for best results Tested in an independent EU accredited laboratory for head lice treatments, the test found that 100% of lice and eggs were killed with only 2 minutes of exposure to the product. Note: laboratory testing carried out by Tecnalia in 2017. Whilst most products can only claim to be 'effective' against eggs, Nitrid kills 100% of eggs. This means the treatment does not rest on the user's ability to remove living eggs with a comb. I treated the whole family as a precaution: two of us with long, thick hair and two with short, thick hair. It took two bottles total for all four of us, but I did absolutely saturate us. I haven't used the comb, so I can't comment on that as we already owned a metal one, which I find tends to be better than plastic ones in general. I left the lotion on for 5 minutes per person. After washing it out, I used the comb again, and anything that came out of his hair was dead and unmoving. I'll check again in 3 days and retreat if needed, but hopefully, that's the end of it. This is the best lice treatment I have ever used on my children. I was dreading treating my son when I found one of the dreaded bugs in his hair. My child is autistic and hates being touched, but the spray bottle made it very easy to apply. It washed out well after just one shampoo, which I've found to be an issue with other brands in the past. I treated the whole family as a precaution: two of us with long, thick hair and two with short, thick hair. It took two bottles total for all four of us, but I did absolutely saturate us. I haven't used the comb, so I can't comment on that as we already owned a metal one, which I find tends to be better than plastic ones in general. I left the lotion on for 5 minutes per person. It kills 100% of headlice as long as you coat the hair properly. The comb gets rid of the lice and eggs leaving hair treated and lice free.
