So I had to. After searching for the ideal box, I finally landed on this one which had great reviews and seemed as though it would do everything I needed: easy mounting through stone exterior, adjustable access hole for mounting multiple-sized conduit connectors, weather and insect-proof design, lockable latch (with a small padlock). This one checked all the boxes and seemed sturdy with quality construction. Once installed on the side of the house, it looks great. And by installing it myself, I'm assured of the quality of the work. My neighbors have bare wires coming out of theirs, are exposed and weather-worn while mine is enclosed in conduit. The box was a little more expensive than others, but I'm very happy with the purchase and would do it again.

**Q: I just received the box and I was wondering what the threaded bushing was for on the closure?  There is no nut or anything that goes with it.**
A: Hi, the box was originally a cable box, although I am using it for a 12V 22AH battery. The cable companies would string cables end-end and put a terminator (75Ohm) at the end of the cable line. People would steal cable-service by undoing the terminator and adding cable into their homes. So, the cable companies came up with a terminator that had a lock, requiring a special gadget to unlock.  The idea for this box is that you can use one of those same cable terminator locks to lock the box. We have options: the box has a separate hole where a 1/4-20 1/2" nut+bolt will keep it closed. Or any standard cable F-Type connector will fit on the lug OR, I saw online, a USA Guitar 3/8"-32threads-per-inch used on USA electric guitars, like these https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07F89L8CR/?coliid=I32QEQQRE5P30S&colid=OSFX0Q12JREK&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it (But I have not tried these yet).

**Q: Do the cord entrance slots have a gasket?**
A: Yes. The slots in the bottom for the wires have a piece of rubber with slits to accommodate wires. Not necessarily water tight, but they are on the bottom and keep stuff out.

**Q: Can this support flexible 1/2" liquid tight connections in some secure fashion?**
A: off hand I would say NO, this would not work. It is open at the bottom and is not Rigid... However, that doesn't mean that you could not drill the side out that you wanted to have the connector terminate too.. It just really is not meant for that per se.

**Q: Where is the internal mounting hardware available?**
A: Just use some screws to set it.. Brick use masonry, wood use wood screws

I had to replace my cable box on the outside of my house after hurricane Milton blew off the cover. After looking at a bunch of them, I settled on this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Appears to be a good and handy design

I got this box due to its slip-in/slip-out "comb" openings for cables, because I am using pre-terminated cables whose large connectors make it difficult to insert them via conventional through-holes and sealing nipples. However, it turned out that the box I got won't physically fit where I intended to use it, so I have not yet actually used it - consequently my review is based only on visual examination of the box: It appears that the box will seal well around its cover and will "seal" around the cables adequately to keep out most bugs, dust, etc. if installed with the cable "slots" at the bottom (as intended). Although the design and material used appears to be good for outdoor use, I cannot confirm how well the box will hold up to rain, sunlight, heat/cold, bugs, etc. because I have not yet installed it.
