I wanted a shoe that would be comfortable to wear while walking AND running and this fit the bill. I walked around in these, and have worn them on a 3 mile run with no issues. In fact, they're so light and comfortable I hardly notice I'm wearing them! I would not consider these a long-distance running shoe, and it lacks the bells and whistles and support of a shoe that is specifically intended for running. For me this isn't a bad thing, but if you're looking for a "serious" shoe exclusively for running this may not be for you. I'll be adding them into my rotation of daily running shoes and they're stylish and comfortable enough that I can wear the just about anywhere else, too - school, work, running errands, etc.4 stars because the toes are a little tight - not in width (the toe box is nice and roomy in width!) but in height. The space between the upper fabric and sole is pretty thin.
