I've been dealing with GERD for years now and the past 11 months it got real bad. The doctors prescribed acid reducing medication and I do not want to be on those forever. After doing some research, thank you Dr. Berg on acid reflux, my issue is low acidity in my stomach. I did try the apple cider vinegar and that helped a lot and I just started taking these Betaine HCL a few days ago and I have NOT taken any TUMS or acid reducing medication. This will get to the bottom of your issue and if you just hit 50 years of age, then this is what you need. Now, if you need a TUMs after taking one of these, then you most likely have too much acid in your stomach, but if you feel good afterwards, then you suffer from low pH in your stomach and you will eventually get to the root of your issue.
