My experiences is with small, shallow casting between 1/2 to 1 inch thick. The casting will remain wet for up to 24 hours, depending on room temperature, so be gentle in removing the mold. **Q: Anyone know the difference between this and the high strength 20 plaster made by the same company?** A: No **Q: Can low temperature metals (pewter) be cast in this plaster?** A: Probably not.... **Q: Can this be used for making molds for pouring porcelain? The molds would be placed in a kiln and fired at a high temperature for the porcelain to cure** A: I don't see why not? I made bats to dry out my recycled clay, so I haven't put them in the kiln, but it's just regular plaster used in ceramics as far as I can tell. You might want to test one before you commit to putting your work at risk. This is my third order and it is consistently good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by C***1 on August 20, 2022* I was a little intimidated to use this, but I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered gypsum, which I am not going to use because the mixing instructions are a little confusing for me. The ratio I used was 1/2 cup of water to 1 cup of the plaster and it worked perfectly! There were very few bubbles, and the ones that appeared were easy to get rid of. It sets fast too.
