A: No, it's manufactured glass.

**Q: How big is this compared to hand?**
A: How big is your hand. ? It’s about the size of my fist. I’m 15 stone and I’m about average for my build . It’s a good size and a comparison it’s bigger than a tennis ball. Hope it helps

**Q: As this item is glass does it work as well as obsidian for scrying?**
A: have no idea, ornament only.

I was a bit skeptical when buying this because I wasn’t sure if it would just be glass but I found it to be a good quality product. I’ve been unsuccessful in scrying with this so far but I’m hoping it is genuine obsidian and will offer protection against negative energies anyway.
