The original canopy we had was cloth with the tunnels and corner pockets. I knew it would be PVC but was hoping for a decent kind of fabric, not the stiff, almost brittle plastic sheeting which looked really cheap. From holding up one of the side pieces I could immediately see that there was absolutely no sun protection whatsoever, it just streamed through. I had to give this review one star and to be fair there was a decently sewn contrasting piece of binding along the scalloped edge. However, the colour was nothing like the one pictured. I was expecting a smart bitter chocolate brown but this was a wishy washy mouse brown. I didn’t even take it out of the packet so can’t comment on the fit. I think a piece of builder’s tarpaulin would offer better protection.
