My son wanted this to upgrade his gaming system and his pc was expandable. He learned to install it and deal with the software on his own. The price was reasonable and we bought the one that wasn't due to the chip shortage era. So, make sure you know the difference between the models that are provided before buying.

Used it for a few years now, strong, high speed storage. I bought a 2TB for in my laptop now, and use this drive in a portable enclosure. Be aware that you always need an external backup with ssd drives, since they loose their content when malfunctioning. However, this is prone to all ssd drives and hardly happens.
