This one is a full-tang design and quite thick, about 3/16", which gives it a nice solid feel in the hand as well as added strength. The finger notch adds some safety, and the overall look of the knife is very nice, with the wooden scales and weathered black finish.The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that it has a slight defect. The scales are just a tiny bit loose; when I'm holding the knife, I sometimes feel them shift under my hand. The seller immediately offered me a refund, which I appreciate. Hey, for $20, you don't expect perfection.
