The newer 66 uses two coils in the Double D configuration. **Q: How many feet down does it detect?** A: Good , reliable to 6 to 7 INCHES. **Q: Can this be used in salt water and salt water beaches?** A: It can be used on salt water beaches and salt water. The coil in waterproof but not the control box, so you can only take it in the water only so far. The Go-Find 66 has an automatic ground balance which helps keep it stable in saltwater water mineralization. **Q: How is this better than the other models?** A: I can't really compare this to others as it's the first I've owned. I have used it a few times but no significant finds, unfortunately. I'm still learning how to use the Minelab and there are some strange sounds and readings sometimes that make me think it's malfunctioning, but due to my inexperience I'm not ready to fault the unit just yet. ## Frequently Bought Together - Minelab GO-FIND 66 Metal Detector with GO-FIND Black Carry Bag for Transport - Metal Detector Shovel, Kemaier Heavy Duty Double Serrated Edge Digger, Metal Detecting Digging Tool with Sheath for Belt Mount, Gardening Accessories for Metal Detection Digging Loosening Planting - Minelab PRO-FIND 35 Waterproof Pinpointer Metal Detector for Experts with Tone ID & Adjustable Sensitivity (Built-in Flashlight, Holster & Lanyard Included) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/59393536-go-find-66-metal-detector-with-go-find-black-carry](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/59393536-go-find-66-metal-detector-with-go-find-black-carry) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
