It will secure my handbag to my bicycle, or anywhere that is secure because sliding up those small bars until you hear and / or feel a little 'thunk', you know that the S-Biner is well and truly locked. They are tough, dependable and sturdy. For this stainless steel version, though, I suggest a light oiling to keep it was rusting. I'm not saying its stainless steel will rust, but it might if the weather keeps chucking it down. I am very pleased and recommend. Even the black version is awesome.
