Review: better than its competition - When my 20-year-old Waring professional food processor died--The lid broke and a replacement was exceedingly expensive. I purchased a Cuisinart. I sent the Cuisinart back and bought this one. The breville is an excellent product. I just wish the 12 cup sous chef model was back on the market (The sous chef models have a metal base and the storage box). The breville is worth the upgrade over the Cuisinart or the KitchenAid. The top is easier to use, it's more powerful, and it simply does a better job.

In any event, I purchased the Breville for our vacation home and found it vastly superior to the Cuisinart. The size is bigger but not too big. It's simple to use. I could spend an hour figuring out all the different functions on this food processor. It has numerous speeds, attachments, and so on. It's about 75% quieter than my Vitamix! I use it to shred good quality hard cheeses in seconds. I make salad dressings with it. I mince habanero peppers and hot chiles in it so I don't burn my eyes. The possibilities are endless and I'm looking forward to trying out more functions.

The breville is an excellent product. I just wish the 12 cup sous chef model was back on the market (The sous chef models have a metal base and the storage box). The breville is worth the upgrade over the Cuisinart or the KitchenAid. The top is easier to use, it's more powerful, and it simply does a better job.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breville Convert

I love this machine. I have been a Cuisinart loyalist for years. I have every blade, an extra bowl, and was content until I used my daughter-law's Breville. I couldn't justify buying it until I had enough rewards built up but wow. I would buy it again without points. I make a nut bread several times a week. The Breville chops the nuts faster, quieter, finer and more evenly with less bowl scraping needed. I add a ground chia to the nuts and the Cuisinart always left a ring of unincorporated seeds between the bowl and bottom of the blade around the stem. The Breville combines everything without having to scrape that out of the bowl and hand mix it. That alone sells me. Cleaning is easy. A small nice thing: I fill the bowl with soapy water, clean and remove the blade and the bowl doesn't drain like the Cuisinart, b/c the stem isn't hollow, so I can keep washing tools. The one blade I miss is the grating blade Cuisinart has. The Breville shreds beautifully and finely, but I grate Parmesan from a chunk and a grating blade, not shredding blade, is needed. Great Food Processor, worth every penny.
