The Exotac ripSPOOL is a lightweight, complete field repair kit that can also be used for multiple survival and bushcraft tasks. This includes first aid, fire starting, fishing and navigation. The ripSPOOL was the brainchild of Daniel at Battlbox and Rob at Exotac. They focused on creating something unique and useful without compromise. It started out as an easy way to carry duct tape and evolved into a comprehensive field repair kit. Get yours today and be prepared for your next outdoor adventure. Features: High Strength Synthetic Line - Over 60 feet of 30 lb. test synthetic braided line to be used for re-stitching gear, creating tools or as an improvised fishing kit. Heavy Duty Repair Tape - Over 50" of repair tape can be used for patching holes, as an improvised bandage, creating bush-crafting tools or even as tinder. #16 Sail Needle - The sail needle is retained by an o-ring in the line spool so it can be used as an improvised awl/thimble. Pull it out, attach thread and reinsert for sewing. Firecord Lanyard - The included lanyard has an inner core that can be pulled out and used as tinder. Face it, its all in one place! That's what I tell myself. Did I actually want to pay the price tag associated with this product, not really. Truth is, and im going to generalize this to the masses. You probably have duct tape, some testline, paracord and a needle laying around in your tool box, work shop or possibly in your trunk. Do you need this orange gadget ( orange was my preferred color), No, but do you want it? Yes! You do, for all of the right reasons, because it 1.consolidates all these different types of essentials and it packs it all into a 2. bic (lighter) size, gizmo called the ripspool! The name is actually fun to say because there's a cool factor associated with it! Admit it, the ripspool is a cool tool and it 3. lightens the load and its easy to carry and use, you simply can't beat the 4. practical functionality of it and its 5. multiple applications. バックパッキングなど長期間の旅をする際には是非とも持っておきたいグッズです。 バックパックの破れなど急な補修には十分な内容です。テープが無くなったらどう補充するか考えておく必要がありそうです。 あと、小さな釣り針が入れられるとありますが5ミリくらいの穴なので入るのは渓流針とサルカン、小さなオモリくらいです。
