Initially, I was squirming around on the seat trying to compensate for the air underneath me. I subsequently found that by reducing the amount of air to what seems like non-existent was perfect. It lifts the backside just a couple of millimetres above the harder seat and makes for a much better level of comfort. If you need proof, I rode 440 miles in less than 16 hours and felt absolutely fine. It takes a bit of trial and error to work out how much air is optimum for comfort, as too much air means you are sitting about an inch higher and sliding around alot.Since buying the AirHawk seat I haven't suffered from a sore backside :-)There is a negative though. The product can be easily stolen if left on the bike. Not an issue for me as I have a garage both at home and at work, however this will be an issue for some people.Quality of the product is high. However after a couple of rides it is now just right for me and a two hour non- stop ride home from Southampton resulted in no numb bum at all!
