Keeps the water from getting too hot & don't have to use so much sun screen. These makes it so much nicer & we are able to use this space more during the hot part of the day. We live on the east coast of VA. We put up one large square & two triangles. Purchased hardware on Amazon and purchased hand crank pulleys with wire cable in conjunction with the stainless 316 grade hardware. This will make it easier to take down this fall.
