Q: What is the fabric? Cotton? polyester?

35% cotton, 60% polyester, 5% Spandex. Not very breathable, like it would be if it were all cotton. Also, the iron-on picture is “stiff.”

Q: Are these short sleeves soft and comfortable? Looking at the photos really makes me want to buy, and I want to ask for information about the quality!

The quality is great! Mine is a very nice, soft t-shirt materiel! Not stiff or scratchy at all. Also washes well... no shrinkage.

Q: is the small size suitable for tweens around 13 years old, or too big?

I got a xlarge for lounging. This can be worn by a tween. A small would be too small unless they were of a small build. My daughter is twelve and tall for her age and this size also fits her.
