Unifi owners be warned. *by D***Y on 21 April 2026* Do not buy the 0.25m version of this DAC cable... buy the 0.3m version. Why?? The longer version has a different port locking mechanism. It is easy to use the black plastic tab to unlock the metal DAC insert and remove it. The 0.25m versions, for some reason that escapes me, uses a different approach. The DAC insert will get stuck in your switch, and you will break the white plastic tab. At that point, it will take some careful surgery with an extra-small paper clip to unlock it... if you are lucky. Save yourself a big headache. I bought two of the 0.25m versions, and had the same problem. I was VERY lucky, and was able...with half hour of "locksmithing" to get the damn things out.
