**Q: the length of blank needed for this kit**
A: You will need a blank minimum 120mm - slightly longer gives more room for error

**Q: Does any one know if you can get spares for this pen like middle rings, end cap with clip and pen nib.**
A: Yes you can. If you put pen kits into your search engine you will get a good number of companies that supply individual pieces, although it may take a phone call to narrow your search down.

**Q: Has anyone been able to obtain the instructions?**
A: Might be a bit cheeky but, until I found this set on Amazon, I always bought from Axminister Tools catalogue. Just search for Slimline Pens and pencils and you can download the full instructions which are of an excellent quality. I tend to print mine off and keep it in a file in my shed. One thing you do need, I don’t think they come in the set, ie a set of Slimline pen brushes. Don’t know if they sell on Amazon but thecatologue number is code 953311. Be very careful not to let your chisel dig into these as your blanks depend on these to come to the proper size . Any other problem just let me know

**Q: On a scale of 1-10, just how fancy are they?**
A: You can see the fancy parts on the clip ,really they're not much different to the ordinary kits. It's the wood / resin / pewter or whatever material you decide to use for the pen that decides how fancy you want to make it, that makes it stand out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely product for the price - but you need additional equipment to put them together

I have changed this review rating from a 1 to a 3. When I originally purchased these pens I was unable to put them together. There was and is nothing in the information that tells you you need additional equipment to actually put all the pen bits together. I am not a wood turner and need the pens fully put together to meet my needs. So I was to say highly annoyed that the sellers did not mention this in their blurb. After desperately trying to source someone who sold pens ready made, I gave up as no-one does it. It has since taken me a couple of months to get the pen press that I need to put these pens together - at no small cost I might add. Had the supplier changed their blurb to mention a pen press or similar item is required to put the pens together I would have given a rating of 4, but they haven't updated the information in the last few months to make sure no-one else makes the same error as I did, due to lack of information form the supplier. That said, now I have put them together, I am fairly chuffed with them and will be buying a load more on a regular basis.
