Having said that it is well made and very, very sharp. We have been using stainless Knives, which basically need sharpening after every use. I did warn my wife about the sharpness of this carbon steel knife but the inevitable happened and it was a rush for the bandaids, only a shallow nick but she has a new respect for the knife now. Her indoors is getting used to it now and can chop tough vegetables much better and carve roasts properly.
