Shaving sharp out of the box. I own a Benchmade Adamas and I edc the Rat 10 out of 10. It doesn't scream the best quality but it's got a nice size, holds an edge for everyday tasks and a very good hand feel. A lil remember oil to the action and it's butter smooth. The blade coating started chipping almost immediately which doesn't bother me but I know it will to some so I wld recommend buying one without the black coating. The pocket clip is starting to loosen up some which is annoying because my kershaws always seem to hold tight but a few turns of the tool and it's good to go. Great knife for the price.
