FUNCTIONS Red Yeast Rice Extract is a product obtained from a yeast (Monascus purpureus) grown on rice. The fermented rice has served as part of the diet for centuries in some Asian countries. The red yeast rice has several active ingredients as called monacolins compounds, a number of substances which inhibit cholesterol synthesis. One, monacolin K, is indeed a potent inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase also be known as lovastatin. INDICATIONS Red Yeast Rice Extract is ideal for those wishing to control their blood cholesterol levels and reduce cardiovascular risk. FORMULA Red Yeast Rice Extract Standardized at 0.4% lovastatin ...625 mg* * Nutrient Reference Value not established Ingredients: Red yeast extract, rice hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (capsule). This product do not contain wheat gluten, soy protein, milk or milk products, corn, sodium, sugar, starch or artificial colors, preservatives or artificial flavors.
