I'm using Dina Wakley Media Clear Gesso on scrubbed rocks, then put a stripe of each color and let it sit all day. Then I painted over it with DecoArt DuraClear Gloss Varnish...this is the moment of truth, when the marker lines can run terribly...and they didn't!! The colors remained bright and un-smudged. This set has some good saturated colors, but does *not* have your 'knock-it-out-of-the-park' silver and gold. The brush tips take a lot of control...from the thin of the blue to the thick of the white, you should be able to get a wide range of line thicknesses if you are careful. The pens are *very* thin-barreled, so I'll be interested to know how long they last. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty decent pens *by Q***H on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2019* I found these to be pretty decent pens.
