The metal rings in the handle do not fit smoothly with the handle material. The ends of the ring are not perfectly flush with the handle. I might use some sandpaper to sand the handle a little bit. But the knife is useable as it is. The blade seems to be strong. It arrived pretty sharp towards the tip. But closer to the handle, it's not so sharp. I plan to use this knife for opening boxes, etc. It's too small for larger jobs. Although, in a self-defense situation, it would be better than nothing. The knife is easy to slide into the sheath and it's snug. But when you pull it out, it takes some effort...jiggling. Maybe some sanding will help.
