I've been told not to use India ink in anything other than dip pens...it's PERMANENT... The say not even to use it in refillable fountain pens. I suspect that it would ruin the bristles which are very soft. If you want to put ink in try some of the non permanent inks ... But as I said I've only used it with water...I tryly love it as a watercolor water brush !
