I’ve had some in the past that I bought cheaper and they were not as thick and often came in one easily. These squares are different because they’re THICK. They are so thick that when they snap together they DON’T MOVE. I would say they are not easily torn. I had furniture on them so they are dented and probably will remain dented but I cannot complain because the furniture I had was 75 lbs, 3 recliners sat on them for 5 days and made it dented. These are 5/8" and a nice mix of pretty colors. No smell. It looks like Amazon won't be carrying more. I went to the company's own website and they still sell them, but about $10 more than the Amazon price. Still, if you need them, better to buy Taiwan quality and avoid China.
