Assembly is not trivial--there are basically no instructions and you have to splice together three sets of 6 wires each and then figure out how to smash them down in a little metal bowl. Then you have to unsplice them all and redo it because you didn't notice one of the nuts is thinner than the others and goes in a different place--again, directions would be dynamite to have. The instructions aren't complicated, but they do require two pairs of hands (don't attempt this alone!), looking at diagrams, and understanding what is being depicted. The finger cots included to keep the crystal from getting fingerprints are a good idea; without them there will be fingerprints everywhere.
