I have to agree with another reviewer who says these remind him of his childhood when washcloths really grabbed the dirt and made you feel tingly clean. They are excellent quality, thick and soft but not so soft that they feel as if they are just gliding over the skin. Washed twice before use at 40 degrees. Absolutely no shrinkage at all and have washed the ones in use several times. No fading, still look brand new and softer but still dirt grabbing, due to the 700 gsm used to make these wash cloths. These wash cloths will last for years to come. I will be purchasing more for guests. I have been using for several weeks before leaving this review as I wanted to see how they performed over time. I cannot recommend enough, definitely the best quality washcloths I have used for decades. I hope this review helps others to make a more informed decision when purchasing, as the reviews of others are invaluable to me. **Q: Can you wash these at 60 degrees?**
A: I’ve not tried to do this yet.  I did find the colour faded a little at 40 (I have the black ones) so I suppose that may also happen at 60.  However they are a strong, good quality product so I would try them at 60 if I needed to.  Hope this helps.

**Q: What's the difference between these face flannels and the face towels?**
A: I believe it’s just the modern name. Face towels were originally called face flannels as they were made from flannel. Nowadays they are more often made from towelling, hence face towel. Hth

WHITE FACE CLOTHS. No colour run as white uncoloured cloths.1st wash before use they maintained shape & size, are soft & absorbent, hold a fair amount of water as maintained thickness. Though on opening the packet prior to washing they appeared a tad on the thin side and with a synthetic feel to them. After 1st wash prior to use they are perfect for the price paid (9.20 12pk) have 2 large lables that are much bigger than I've even seen that need to be removed
