Review: Elegant candles - The quintessential perfect paraffin candle. Hi melting temperature, perfect formed sides, tapered heel mix fitting into candlesticks easy. These have been my go to candles for 20 years and I doubt I’ll ever find better ones regardless of price. A perfect product? If the wick had wax on it from the beginning would be a little easier to light the first time. Hard to even call that a complaint

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the diameter of the bottom which goes into the candle holder?**
A: Joseph, it's the same diameter of any taper candle. I can wedge it into my glass hurricane that holds a taper. Great candles!  Just order!

**Q: Will these fit into the top of a wine bottle?**
A: Yes!  Absolutely. The bottom of candle has ridges that you can 'screw' into the top of a wine bottle.  Go for it. And remember, they burn perfectly so no annoying dripping on your bottle!

**Q: Why are these being sold 4 times the amount ikea charges?**
A: I have no idea, only to say they are of a very excellent quality.

**Q: These candles smell terrible.  How do I get rid of the bad smell so they can be used in the house?**
A: I have to call out the questioner here. These are high quality, high stearin candles. We've used them over many, many years to illuminate our dining room over the winter. They don't smell like anything. They just illuminate beautifully.

They are perfect for our purposes. We burn a single candle at dinner. Since there is no scent they don't "fight" with the food, and they last a decent amount of time. So it all depends on what you want with your candles.
