As I have had to change my front door handle and letter box to stainless steel I know that is all that works.Strangely material looks the same but supplier confirmed it was OK. It has been fitted almost 2 weeks in rough weather with no problems. I checked and metal is not magnetic, which indicates a good grade of stainless steel.Easy to fit, apart from the wiring being designed for cable straight out of the wall, and looks really good. On/off functions perfectly at just the right light levels.Disappointed that the cap nuts holding the lamp in place are not stainless and have corroded. There is also some staining on the surface of the bodies. THEY ARE STAINLESSProblem is all the spiders who have set up home around the lights. probably the cause of staining.EXTRA - 18 months on and no corrosion.LATEST - after some heavy rain one lamp leaked - RCD tripped when lights came on. Looks as though top glass seal failed.MORE - No corrosion but the lacquer coating has discoloured badly near the edges. Don't know why they insist on coating stainless steel.
