It mounts on the wall, directly to the roller bar that lifts your garage door. FYI, They ARE compatible, it's what they are made for (low clearance) as long as exact space (or a little more) is available from ceiling down to the bar. Just had this quoted from 2 different garage door companies, because I have a "high lift" door with only about 3" clearance (cannot accommodate standard center door/room mount style). Due to their quoted price, I'll be doing it myself. Oh, one of the idiots told me I couldn't get this unit anywhere since I'm not a distributer... Wonder if he realized it's no longer the 1980's? **Q: Will this work for everyone ?** A: No. First, you have to have a garage door, people without one it will not work for. Then you look at a space and size requirements needed for the install and of course you have to have horizontal springs. **Q: Liftmaster says that your not an authorized dealer and their warranty would not apply. Is that true?** A: Correct **Q: Hi Will this unit work in California ?** A: Unfortunately, it won't work in all counties of California. It requires electricity to operate and also recharge the on-board battery. With the frequent power outages as a result of wind, rain, too much sun, not enough sun, and a host of other restrictions, it is not recommended for use in Kalifornia. ## Frequently Bought Together - LiftMaster Elite Series 8500W (Replaced by 98022) Jackshaft Garage Door Operator, WiFi - Liftmaster 893Max - LiftMaster 878MAX Garage Door Keypad Wireless and Keyless Entry System for Easy Entry- Works only with LiftMaster Door Opener with Safety Sensor (Security+ 390 MHz, Security+ 315 MHz, Security+ 2.0) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/60221973-premium-series-98022-replaces-8500w-jackshaft-garage-door-operator-wifi](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/60221973-premium-series-98022-replaces-8500w-jackshaft-garage-door-operator-wifi) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
