As far as I recall you attach a tube from a water pump to the back of it. I stood mine on a large flat stone in my small pond so that the tube was under water in the shallows then hid the tube with small pebbly stones. If it starts slowing down you need to clean the filter on the pump. Hope that this helps. **Q: Is this one solar** A: It is just the fish part, you have to buy the fountain separately. I did attach mine to a solar pump. **Q: Does the pipe go in from the back? It doesn't show it in any photos** A: Sometimes there is a tube at the front or back for the pipe, depending on what style. I think that I expected something a bit larger from the illustrations, but I was pleased because it is to a better scale for our little wildlife pond. One thing that I would point out, which may not affect everyone, is that the supplied pipe isn't very long, a metre and a half I think, about 5 feet for those of us who prefer to visualise things in proper British measurements. It is thoughtful to supply a pipe with the fitting for the aperture in the front of the fish, but the problem is that the pipe was firmly glued to the fitting. I had previously laid a 7 feet x half-inch pipe from the pump to the final position, and this was the right place for the fish in the scheme of things (can't go too close to the water lillies as they don't like being splashed). So having cut the supplied pipe to the edge of the fitting, I had to very, very delicately slice off the glued bit with a Stanley knife so that I wouldn't chip into the fitting. But that worked ok, and it looks great. Recommended. The seller told me prior to purchase that the fish was a bit darker than the illustration, but it actually looks fine, and not much different. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Love the fish, but no pipe included *by B***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2021* I didn't open this until 3 months after purchasing it. When I went to set it up, there was no pipe included in the box, although it suggests this IS included.
