Great book. The story was easy to follow and my daughter didn't want me to stop reading every night. She was easily able to read it herself as well. She is in first grade and found the material relatable.

My daughter loves animals and saving animals. She is obsessed with this series and has even started her own "animal rescue club" at school.  From what the teacher tells me, she and her friends are busy "saving" slugs at recess.  I'm just glad she's inspired by a book to actually do something nobel.  So much better than some of the other books we could be reading.
