This product is not certified Kosher but there is no animal product that is used. Just Like Chicken is 100% plant based. **Q: Is the soy sourced from the USA?** A: The packaging says it's made in the USA but can't say where the soy is sourced from. I would contact the manufacturer for that question. **Q: Is it ok to heat less time in the microwave? 5 minutes makes it difficult to chew.** A: If you use the microwave, it will heat up the product, but not soften it very much. It does not require a lot of cooking, but 10 or 15 minutes on the stovetop works better than the microwave. **Q: Is the soy non gmo?** A: We didn’t care for the product after all.
