Difference Between Super Glue and CA Glue: Super glue, cyanoacrylate, and CA glue are all different names that describe the same instant adhesive. Various user groups adopt different names for them. For instance, woodworkers, model-builders, serious hobbyists and skilled crafting pros use terms like cyanoacrylate adhesive or CA glue. Commercially, most know the adhesive as superglue. Review: Very happy - I read the reviews and product descriptions before purchase. The fact that is is made in the USA was a big selling point and the small batch manufacturing told me there was pride behind the work put in to this glue. I was a little worried that once you placed one of the fine tips on the 2oz bottles and wanting to gluing that the tip would become a permanent part of that bottle. NOPE! Even after about two weeks of the bottle being used and then sitting for a few days, the tip came right off the bottle and I was able to put the original cap back on. With the medium viscosity I did have to adjust my style of gluing a bit from the previous glue I was using, it was a little less thick than I expected and and filled in the hars to reach spots. Which is what I wanted with my old glue that just wasn't getting the job done. The open time was perfect and almost seamed like it was pressure activated. I could place a piece, move it a bit to get it lined up and then as soon as I put a little pressure it held. It seams like Starbond has figured out the perfect superglue!!

The speedy initial set time, the various thicknesses/viscosities, the strength, they're all great. **Q: how strong is it? is it stronger than loctite? what are some good examples of its strength**
A: I have used it to assemble figurines, glue metal together and even help hold bolts in place and haven’t had a problem with it yet. The only ‘issue’ I had was using it to help hold the leg onto my slow cooker. It lasted a while but did break down after a few months. I feel pretty sure that is the fault of the heat of the slow cooker and no fault of the glue.

**Q: Can I use this to attach tips for doing my nails?**
A: I use this for a lot of things.  Every so often I end up accidentally gluing my finger to something or something to my finger nails.  It glues wood, metal and lots of other stuff to my fingernails really well.  So, while I haven't purposely glued tips on my nails, I would expect it to work unless the tips are teflon or something like that.  If you don't use accelerator you will have a very very short time to position the tips on your nails. With accelerator, you will have almost no time to reposition.  You might find that the Thick version might work better.  It will stay in place better and give you a little more time for positioning if you need it. Wear eye protection when working with this.  Edit: CA glue is not suitable for filling gaps.  The tip would have to have good surface contact with your nail for this glue to really bond it.

**Q: How do you remove this dried glue from fingers?**
A: I get it on my fingers all the time when gluing intricate wooden pieces, the only thing that I've found to help is to use sandpaper once it dries (which is pretty quick) and rub the spot on my finger onto the sandpaper.  It breaks it up and makes it come of a lot faster.

**Q: What is average cure time without using an accelerator?**
A: Depends on how much glue you use and gap. I would say about minute to hold and 5 for full cure

UPDATE: Seller reached out and is escalating the issue. Very happy with customer service. Product is great if you can get the item shown and described on the webpage. I've had to go through Amazon customer service twice because I keep getting black glue, not the clear that it shows and states in the description.
