It covers from the ending of Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal (with Khadgar and co being stranded on Draenor/Outland) to World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion. Second, how does it measure up to volumes 1 & 2? In terms of size, it is about the same size as volume 2 (224 pages versus 204 pages in volume 2). However, please note that I did encounter a total of 3 blank pages in Volume 3 compared to just 1 blank page in Volume 2. Third, the artwork. I know several review mention the quality of the artwork in comparison to volume 2. I myself, love it all as some pieces show parts of lore never before shown in art by either Blizzard or amateur artists. Yet, I am also analytical person. So, I decided to do a count of the amount of art in volume 2 to volume 3 for comparing just numbers. - Volume 2 has a total of 45 pages of art. That's about 22% of the book. - Volume 3 has a total of 59 pages of art. That's about 26% of the book. *Yes, I did count the art on the Table of Contents page in both volumes as it is unique and does not reappear again in their respective volume. Basically, the additional 20 pages added to Volume 3 over Volume 2, could be seen as an additional 14 pages of art and 6 pages of content.
