The tub is folded and has small holes in the four corners. You can hold the stove (cooker) tub up to a light and see through the holes. I added Alcohol (without lighting) and it leaks within a few seconds. The "tub" design along with the added wind shield increases the burn time on 3 different manufacturers solid fuels. (24 minutes with 1 x 14 gram hexamine.) I like the unit. Bought multiple and will recommend these over other folding stove designs. A++++++ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great with a Few Major Caveats *by M***Y on August 23, 2023* This is a great pocket stove for emergencies or when weight is a major factor on whatever backcountry adventure you so chose. Using the FireDragon eco-fuel blocks is a huge step up from the mess and toxicity of hexamine tabs. The squares light quickly and one brought about 20oz of ice cold water to a decent warm level for a decent cup or either a retort or dehydrated pouch. Caveat 1: it does leave a residue (see photo). However, once it cools you can wipe/scrape it out. Non-toxic to boot if using the FireDragon blocks as they are made of solidified ethanol. Caveat 2: bear in mind the FireDragon fuel squares are solidified Ethanol alcohol. Alcohol when burned is largely invisible. My main tell that the square was lit was as it started to liquify. Caveat 3: speaking of dissolving, the fuel liquifies as it burns. Unfortunately the place for the fuel is not liquid leak proof. I noticed I could see spots of light in the corners, so I took a precaution putting a cork trivet under in case it leaked out. When it did (see photo) I was able to wet the area under it to keep it contained.
