Review: Success at last! - Really happy & relived that I finally found a switch that works with my old Panasonic tv and all its inputs. For several years I could not find a switch that could handle my NowTV box as well as my Chromecast, Sony Blu-ray, Panasonic DMR - they just didn’t handle the NowTV box, the pictures would just freeze when streaming from the likes of BBC iPlayer & YouTube. I was resigned to having to use a ugreen 3 port switch for Chromecast, Blu-Ray & DMR and then to manually connect either the 3 port switch OR NowTV box into the back of the tv. Recently I revisited what was available to meet my requirement and ended up identifying a 5 port ugreen switch & this 4 port switch from Anker. I tried the ugreen switch but it didn’t handle the NowTV box but was thankfully able to return it to desertcart. I then tried this 4 port Anker switch and was overjoyed to find that it handled the NowTV box. Now I’ve replaced the 3 port ugreen switch with the Anker 4 port switch & there’s no need to manually plug/unplug my NowTV box. So thankful I didn’t just give up!

Although it supports 4K@60Hz, my setup is the following on my bedroom TV: An aging, but very good quality Sony 1080p LCD TV, with my Anker HDMI switch connected to it. The following hardware is then connected to the Anker HDMI Switch: XBox One S 1080p@60Hz Playstation 5 1080p@60Hz Playstation 4 1080p@60Hz Sony Blu-ray player 1080p@60Hz Switching between these devices only takes about 0.5 to 0.75 seconds. You can use the remote control to select previous or next device, or press 1-4 to switch straight to the required device. Note: 2x AAA batteries (I'm using rechargeable) are required, plus it's an infrared remote, so you need line of sight to the infrared receiver on the switch. If you wish, there's a button on the switch to cycle through HDMI 1, 2, 3, 4, then back to 1, and so on. The audio and video quality is excellent! I highly recommend this switch. Just remember 2x AAA batteries for the remote, plus see below. The unit is provided with a USB cable (C at switch to A at power source). I'm using an desertcart Fire TV power adapter/plug. It's 1 Amp, 5.25V, and it works perfectly. If your TV has a USB port, you should be able to power the HDMI switch from your TV.
