It is more mild than Saigon or Cassia, but I do expect SOME taste.But back to THIS cinnamon.....FIRST, PROS ....WELL-SEALED, as in there is an inner seal that was really sealed on.SMELL....GREAT SMELLCONS:AMOUNT - most I have used are about 2.8 ounces, this is 1.6 ounces, so NOT that GREAT of a deal. It's a taller bottle and I didn't pay attention to the amount, but because of other con listed below, I poured it into an old cinnamon bottle I had, and then looked at amount each held.REALLY NOT MUCH TASTE AT ALL! I put a bit directly on my finger and tasted and got...almost nothing re taste.BOTTLE TOP....there are two SNAP parts, one to sprinkle and one to pour....they both CLICK SHUT, but...there are GAPS on the sides of both if you look at them. So air, anything can get in. NOT well-sealed top.I had to put in the cinnamon bottle of another brand I was almost out of because of the problem above.Won't be buying again. The family owned farm is dedicated to a great product and great customer service. This cinnamon is lighter in color and has less bite than the cinnamon offered in most grocery stores in the U.S. because our distributors don't use actual Ceylon cinnamon and use Saigon cinnamon instead. Do your own research and taste testing and choose which you prefer as I have.
