Review: Terrific soup pot! - I needed a stainless steel winter soup pot. I know Duxtop makes good products because I own their two burner induction cooktop, and I love it. This 4 quart pot is a perfect size for me, it's not too heavy for my arthritic hands, and it cleans up easily with soap and water and Barkeeper's Friend. The instructions in the package are extremely helpful. Good quality, feels sturdy, it even looks good. A winner.

Then I tried a Duxtop saucepan (1.6 quart). Works great, really great. I've had it over a year and a half, almost daily use, blue non-scratch scrubbers, finish still looks brand new. But appearance is a minor thing. The inside has markings to show volume which is a nifty feature. There are never any hot spots due to the heavy bottom which is great since I suspect the cooktop may not be even. I recently bought a Duxtop sauté pan which I am just as pleased with. As you can see by the build up I've already used it a lot, often at high heat. This casserole is my third purchase. Each time I've bought a pan.I'll received an email urging me to contact the manufacturer for ANY problem PLUS how to contact desertcart. How's that for service and confidence? I've owned some of the more expensive anodized and stainless cook wares in the past. This stuff is equal or better than all of them. I will buy more when I can. Their prices make that possible as my circumstances have changed. I've bought hundreds of items through desertcart down through the years, very seldom do I post a review. **Q: Can you tell me what these dimensions are depicting? l x w x h doesn't really apply here.**
A: I love to shop for this stuff: so I also love the Amazon feature to jump down to 'more information.'  The 8.6 quart pot is NOT well-described there.  It is 10 inches in diameter and 7.5 inches tall IN THE BODY.  ADD THE HANDLES and we get 14 inches across.  The dome lid and handle add 2.5 inches in height once the lid is in place on the pot.

**Q: What's the diameter of the 8.6Qt. pot?**
A: From outside edge to outside edge of the bottom, it is approximately 9.5 inches.

**Q: How can this be induction ready with an aluminum bottom?**
A: This product is produced of three layers. A satin finish stainless steel interior, Full aluminum core to ensure even heating, and a magnetic stainless steel exterior.

**Q: what is the inner diameter and the height**
A: height is 4"  diameter is 9"  its a nice 3qt pot.
