La fábrica es relativamente pequeña y su producción, que no es muy numerosa, va a parar en su mayor parte a la exportación. La marca ha recibido numerosos premios y distinciones por la innovación y calidad de sus productos. La marca divide sus productos en dos grandes categorías: los "sistemas de planchado", que son centros de planchado integrados en una tabla de planchar, y los "generadores de vapor", que son centros de planchado que no incluyen la tabla de planchar, tienen unas dimensiones más reducidas y un precio más económico y, por todo lo anterior, resultan más apropiados para un usuario doméstico. El modelo "Smart Sistema I" está en la gama alta de los "sistemas de planchado" de este fabricante, en el que todos sus productos son de alta calidad. En casa nunca habíamos usado un centro de planchado con unas características tan sofisticadas. Es muy diferente a todo lo que habíamos visto hasta ahora. Conviene leer el manual antes de empezar, porque encontraremos en él las indicaciones sobre como montar y cómo usar todos los elementos. El manual está muy ilustrado y resulta muy claro en sus explicaciones. Aunque no es necesario, también podemos instalarnos en el móvil la app "Laurastar Smart", en la que encontraremos consejos para planchar mejor e indicaciones sobre el estado de nuestra plancha (nivel de agua, estado del cartucho anti cal, etc.). El montaje del sistema en sencillo, pero hay que decir que el conjunto resulta bastante pesado y, aunque tiene ruedas, resulta algo incómodo de mover. La tabla tiene un aspecto muy parecido al de una tabla clásica y no es mucho mayor en tamaño, pero no tiene nada que ver. Aparte de estar hecha con unos materiales de mejor calidad, la diferencia más notable es que tiene un ventilador en su interior -podemos activarlo o no- que nos ayudará a que la ropa quede bien estirada sobre la tabla. Se puede desplegar en seis alturas, para acomodarse mejor a todo tipo de usuarios. En cuanto a la plancha, es bastante ligera y resulta muy cómoda de manejar. Una vez todo preparado, el sistema tarda tres minutos en alcanzar su temperatura de servicio. En combinación con el ventilador de la tabla, la plancha tiene un sistema de aspiración que también nos ayudará a evitar la formación de arrugas durante el planchado. Curiosísimo sistema, y también muy eficaz. No hace falta programar la temperatura, porque se ajusta sola en función del tipo de prenda. El vapor sale muy fino y con mucha fuerza, de forma que el fabricante asegura que acaba con todas las bacterias que hayan sobrevivido al lavado. La plancha se desliza con suavidad sobre las prendas y elimina las arrugas en una única pasada. Cuando hemos terminado de planchar, el conjunto se puede plegar y no resulta tampoco mucho más aparatoso que una tabla clásica aunque, eso sí, es bastante más pesado e incómodo de mover. En conclusión se puede decir que es un centro de planchado excelente, se mire por donde se mire. Deja la ropa perfectamente planchada y lo hace a la primera y sin que tengamos que ocuparnos de regular la temperatura. La plancha es muy cómoda de manejar. En el otro lado de la balanza tenemos que la tabla es dificultosa de plegar/desplegar y de mover y que el conjunto tiene un precio elevado. Si tenemos una habitación en la que podamos dejarlo permanentemente desplegado y listo para su uso, el aparato gana mucho atractivo y si, además, somos de los que todas las semanas tenemos ropa para planchar, pues es aún más interesante.
