In my case I'm dealing with field mice or pack rats...living up against open desert landscape. For me, these things have worked perfectly...no new holes which use to appear almost daily. A tip, living in AZ, the ground is extremely hard, so I placed them down an exsiting hole dug by my critters...so it transmits all through their tunnel system.The term "ultrasonic" is deceiving....these are not dog whistles...you can here the sound. I hear it only if I'm out in the yard, nothing is heard from inside the house. So be award that these emit an audible sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It clearly says that the more clay-like the soil the better, the more sand-like the soil the least chance ... *by H***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2018* I read lots of reviews b4 purchasing. I think they key to this product is the soil that you have. It clearly says that the more clay-like the soil the better, the more sand-like the soil the least chance of working. We installed a bunch of new bushes and it was like watching a movie, they were being sucked into the ground! But once we installed these and replaced the eaten bushes, we haven't had any problems. And once you have in the sunshine they still won’t hold a charge. They buzz every few seconds only if the sun shines. Not every 30 seconds like advertised but every 5 seconds.I have bought three different brands of these and this brand by far is the worst. Horrible product.Sorry to your company but you must already know you’re selling a bad product.
