Unfortunately my experience was not so good. When I opened the box I was initially pleased but on unwrapping I found the slicer to be in a very dirty condition and one of the plastic feet was missing. I cleaned the cutter then tried the motion of the arm. The arm was so loosely connected that it wobbled around and did not naturally fall into the slot in the base. The arm was connected by two screws. One had clearly been over-tightened in the past with the screw head so rounded that it was unusable, yet was still relatively loose. The other screw was barely in at all. With the rounded one tightened by hand and the other tightened with a screwdriver I gave it one chance at cutting. The wire is decent enough and went through some hard cheese with no problem. Well, 95% of the way through because the screws immediately loosened again so that the wire didn't make it into the slot.It's a real shame because the item looks nice once cleaned up and the wire works well. Using a coupe of nyloc nuts instead of bolting into thin metal and adding a plastic washer or two would have kept the arm tight.
