**Q: Does this work with Scottish banknotes?**
A: It doesn't but there is free software online to update it to recognise Scottish notes.

**Q: If you update to check Scottish notes does it still also do English ones?**
A: In order to update the device and ensure that the device can scan GBP and SCT, the firmware version S31-53 should be installed. This is our update for:
• Scottish & Northern Irish USB currency software: GBP, SCT, NIR

A: This unit did not scan notes in circulation in Northern Ireland.  As for value, well I had to pay postage to return it!
