All of them have, right out of the box. That little sticker that says uninstall any internal or other wifi receivers on the computer is important. Other drivers screw it up. I'm using them with an XP machine, one old vista machine, a windows 7 machine and with a beta install of windows 10 plus a dell laptop running windows 7. And you definitely don't want to plug the unit in until you have run the CD, and it has finished the install- otherwise it won't work correctly.Try a complete uninstall, then power down the computer, and when it restarts, re-install the CD, then do not plug the reciever in until the install program has finished. my longest signal pickup is 500 feet away, and I am using a TRENDnet 14dBi Outdoor High. antenna with that one and still get 61 percent signal most days. **Q: Will this model work with a macbook specifically?** A: Yes. That's what I bought it for. **Q: how does this connect?** A: Can you be more specific, if you mean to your computer than it's by USB. If you mean to the internet. Nothing worked... until he switched to a different USB port. Then it was fine again, till an hour ago. This time after unplugging the unit, he plugged in a standard USB memory stick, and found that the USB port seems to be dead (actually, both ports that used the ALFA unit are dead). So now we have no available USB ports, and no wireless adapter.
