Everything was made of metal. There was a template for the mounting holes for the several components that had 2 things to mount. The mounting hole for the paper template was a little large so hitting the center was difficult.The brackets that hold up the pieces are substantial. The finish is great and not too hard to install. The set screws are always hard to deal with for older people - need lots of light and time to tighten. The use of a handled allen wrench is advised. The toilet paper holder is not so good - the two halves don't seem to want to slide past each other and the spring is way to strong. Over all a great product value.
