It is thicker and offers more support than others whilst still giving the maximum copper content. The only thing is getting the size right. I had originally ordered a Large, but they do come up quite small, and it kept rolling down at the top. I don't have a big leg at all, certainly not muscly, but I've kept the L and ordered an XL, which is much more comfortable. I would say, if you're not sure, go a size bigger, it's still incredibly supportive but not tight. I walk an awful lot with my dog and I really don't like to walk without it now! Such good value and came the next day with Amazon Prime.
