It was not thick at all. Just the same thin consistency of any clear top coat. It was a bust so I threw it out. Sorry but I cannot recommend this product. **Q: After applind the two coats when you use the nail color should you use kertain as a top ?** A: I have and, I also have the entire collection. I love it. **Q: When applying in the next 3 days, should it be removed completely first & then reapplied, or over top of existing layer??** A: You reapply over existing layer. You take it all off and apply a fresh coat about every 7-10 days. **Q: does this fill in ridges?** A: No. There are ones specifically for that, but this isn't one of them.
